COLLEGE ROUNDUP : UC Irvine Women End Their Losing Streak

Popi Edwards had 14 kills and nine digs as UC Irvine snapped a nine-match losing streak, defeating San Jose State, 8-15, 15-8, 15-8, 15-3, Saturday night in a Big West Conference volleyball match at UC Irvine’s Crawford Hall.
The victory also ended UCI’s four-match losing streak against the Spartans.

In the Far West Conference women’s volleyball regional quarterfinals:
Cal Baptist 3, Concordia 2--Amy Bonacorsi had 22 kills and 27 digs and Terilyn Walker added 18 kills and 37 digs, but Concordia (17-13) was eliminated, 15-12, 4-15, 15-4, 8-15, 11-15.
