THOUSAND OAKS : Exhibit to Display Work of 8 Artists
An art exhibit featuring emerging artists from Ventura and Los Angeles counties is set to open Monday at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
Called “First View II,†the contemporary art exhibit will feature eight artists, including Ventura sculptors Michele Chapin and Tom Porter, photographer Donna Granata from Casitas Springs and Neil Boyle, an illustrator and fine artist from Thousand Oaks and Los Angeles.
The opening, which includes a catered reception, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. and is free to the public.
First View II is the second of a series of planned rotating exhibits by the Civic Arts Plaza Visual Arts Committee.
Volunteers from the Friends of the Civic Arts Plaza committee will provide free guided tours for each exhibit.
