OK, Maybe a Candy <i> Apple </i> Is Healthy
Candy lovers hoping that medical research will discover a role for candy will have to be patient.
University of Virginia researcher Paul Gold has discovered that people remember things better after they have consumed simple carbohydrates such as sugar.
But that’s not as good as it sounds for candy lovers, at least not yet. In his research, Gold gave subjects glucose--not the type of sugar generally found in candy.
