Chad Therapeutics Inc., a Chatsworth maker of oxygen systems for lung patients, said its profit for the fiscal second quarter that ended Sept. 30 was $1.02 million, up 68% from $606,000 in last year’s second quarter. Sales were $5.26 million, up 47% from $3.58 million from the same period a year ago.
For the six months, the profit was $1.98 million, up 69% from $1.17 million in the corresponding period last year, and sales increased 50% to $10.55 million from $7.05 million last year.
The company attributed the gains to strong sales, and to costs saved through internal manufacture of some components that used to be parceled out to subcontractors.
