Mission Hills : Woman Dead as Van Hits Caltrans Truck

A 38-year-old North Hollywood woman was killed Thursday morning when she rammed her white Ford van into the back of a Caltrans truck traveling south on the Golden State Freeway, authorities said.
The motorist, whose name has not been released pending notification of relatives, was driving about 70 m.p.h. when she changed lanes north of the San Fernando Mission Boulevard exit and hit the slower moving Caltrans truck at 9:45 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Wendy Moore said.
The woman died shortly after at Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, Moore said.
