Ryder-Thrifty Rentals: The first joint dealership of Ryder Consumer Truck Rental and Thrifty Rent-A-Car System Inc. in Orange County has opened in Anaheim. Don Sherman, a Thrifty franchise owner who has been granted the rights to operate Ryder Truck Rental in Anaheim. Under a 1994 agreement, Ryder dealers can purchase available Thrifty franchises, and Thrifty franchise owners can add Ryder Truck Rental dealerships.
