Rep. Weldon Undergoes Heart Bypass Surgery

WASHINGTON — Rep. Curt Weldon (R-Pa.) was listed in stable condition after heart bypass surgery because of a blocked artery.
Weldon, 48, underwent the four-hour operation Friday at Bethesda Naval Hospital outside Washington. His chief of staff, Doug Ritter, said Weldon would remain in the hospital for about a week and spend four more weeks recuperating at his home in Aston, Pa.
