PREP FOOTBALL / PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE : Pardoe, Jones Help Laguna Hills Beat Estancia

MISSION VIEJO — Cory Pardoe threw for 184 yards and Mike Jones ran for 150 as Laguna Hills defeated Estancia, 45-28, in a Pacific Coast League game Thursday at Mission Viejo High.
Pardoe’s favorite target was tight end Jay Johnson, who caught two long touchdown passes and finished with three receptions for 143 yards.
Estancia (4-3, 0-2), which has lost three consecutive games, scored first on Bachy Gonzalez’s 10-yard run. However, the Hawks (6-1, 2-0) answered with Johnson’s 47-yard touchdown catch midway through the first quarter.
Jones then scored on touchdown runs of 19, seven and three yards to give Laguna Hills a 31-14 halftime lead.
Johnson scored on a 69-yard pass from Pardoe in the third quarter, then took a reverse for a 12-yard touchdown in the fourth.
Chris Felix led the Eagles with 108 yards rushing in 10 carries.
