San Clemente, Senior
Volleyball/Outside hitter
Last season, the Tritons had trouble putting away teams and therefore finished 5-5 in the South Coast League and missed the playoffs by one match. Last week, San Clemente showed it has found a killer instinct, beating then-No. 2 Mater Dei in three games and then-No. 9 Dana Hills in four and moving alone into first place. “This is just a phenomenal team effort that is carrying us this year,” Coach Rob O’Rear said. Wilkins’ performances stood out last week. She had 13 kills, nine digs and two aces against Mater Dei and 22 kills, 14 digs and an ace on match point against Dana Hills.
