SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO--�Once Upon a Story,� the fifth annual Storytelling Festival, offers tales, legends, myths and music, Oct. 13-14. Story showcases and workshops are held in the San Juan Capistrano Regional Library (31495 El Camino Real) and adjacent venues. Tickets: $3-$7 per event; $10-$15 for workshops. Some events are free. BAKERSFIELD--The stars of PetFest ’95 are furred and feathered, with roles in such events as a Frisbee catch contest, K-9 demonstrations and a pet show. OJAI--Visit up to 30 studios on the Ojai Studio Artists Tour ‘95, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 14-15. Painters, sculptors, photographers and others open their doors to visitors on the self-guided tour. HALF MOON BAY--It’s a seasonal sea of orange at the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 14-15. The festival celebrates its 25th anniversary with the Great Pumpkin Parade, contests in pumpkin carving and pumpkin-pie eating, and a haunted house. Free.
