CITY SECTION ROUNDUP : NORTHWEST VALLEY CONFERENCE

Taft 34, El Camino Real 14--Donald Carpenter rushed for 210 yards in 38 carries and scored on runs of six and two yards at Canoga Park High.

Carpenter, a sophomore, gained 164 yards in the second half for Taft (3-1-1, 2-0). Quarterback Nick DiPadova ran for two touchdowns and completed a 22-yard touchdown pass to Antwan Simpson.

Sophomore Quincy Wright scored on an 80-yard run on the first play of the second half for El Camino Real (1-3-1, 1-1). Wright finished with 132 yards and two touchdowns in six carries.
