Slayings in Zulu S. Africa

DURBAN, South Africa — At least 118 people died violently in South Africa’s Zulu heartland in the past seven days, police said Friday.
Police reports showed 116 deaths from violence the previous week in the province, scene of feuding for political control between the Zulu-based Inkatha Freedom Party and President Nelson Mandela’s African National Congress.
