Schools : Education news : LAGUNA NIGUEL : Student and Principal Trade Places for a Day
Kelly Liebman will trade places with Niguel Hills Middle School Principal Jim Henderson today as her prize for selling more magazine subscriptions than any other student during a recent school fund-raiser.
“It’s different,†the 12-year-old said Wednesday. “I’ve never done this before.â€
Henderson said he came up with the idea last year.
“The kids love it,†said Henderson, who will ride the bus that usually takes Liebman to school, then attend the girl’s classes: algebra, Spanish, advanced science, advanced drama, English, social studies and physical education.
Liebman, who lives in Laguna Niguel and sold 54 magazine subscriptions, will tackle her duties with help from an assistant principal.
But when it comes time for lunch, Liebman said she’ll need no advice or counsel. She’s having pizza and inviting a few friends into the office to join her.
