Beard, Carvin Make U.S. Swimming Team
Amanda Beard and Chad Carvin, both of Irvine, were selected for the A team of the U.S. Swimming national team.
Beard, 13, swims the breaststroke with the Irvine Novaquatics and Carvin, 21, a middle and long distance swimmer, is with the Hillenbrand Swim Club in Arizona.
