SALT LAKE CITY — Rocky Henry caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Mike Fouts with 47 seconds remaining to rally Utah to a 25-21 victory over Fresno State Saturday night.
Utah (2-2 overall and 2-0 in the Western Athletic Conference) was trailing, 21-10, against FSU (3-1, 0-1) with 3:57 left in the game.
But Fouts, nephew of NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Fouts, drove the Runnin’ Utes 80 yards in 11 plays, with Chris Fuamatu-Ma’afala scoring from the three-yard line.
Kevin Dyson then caught Fouts’ two-point conversion pass to cut the gap to 21-18 with 2:12 to play.
The Utah defense forced the Bulldogs to punt on the ensuing series after three rushing plays yielded only six yards.
Taking over at his 34-yard line with 1:34 left and no time outs, Fouts found Terrence Keehan on a 24-yard pass, and four plays later lofted the winner to Henry.
