GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP : Chatsworth Picks Up Right Where It Left Off

Tynitra Wilson had nine kills and five blocks to power Chatsworth High to a 15-5, 15-11, 15-10 victory over Alemany in the Chancellors’ opener Thursday at Chatsworth.

Pamela George had 25 assists and Jennifer Joseph added five kills and three blocks for the defending City Section 4-A Division champion.

Canyon d. Hoover, 15-3, 15-6, 15-4--Andrea Koman’s seven kills led the Cowboys (2-0).

L.A. Baptist d. Calabasas, 15-9, 15-6, 15-4--Kristen Jensen had six kills and six service aces, and setter Tunde Hrotko added six kills and 16 assists for the Knights (2-1). Calabasas is 0-3.

Hart d. Quartz Hill, 15-10, 15-5, 15-12--Candace Boller had 10 kills and nine aces, Danielle Odiorne added 15 kills and Wendy Downen had 44 assists, making 86% of her sets for Hart (3-0).

Notre Dame d. Simi Valley, 15-11, 15-13, 15-9--Kellie Hallinan and Briana Hadfield each had eight kills, and Hilda Osuanian had 18 assists for Notre Dame (3-0).

Jamie Griffin had seven kills and 11 assists, and Angela Mosesso had 16 digs and two aces for Simi Valley (1-1).

Bell-Jeff d. Ramona Convent, 6-15, 15-10, 9-15, 15-2, 15-12--Jackie Johnson had 12 kills and Leah Lovely had 29 assists for Bell-Jeff (1-2).
