1995 PREP PREVIEW: BOYS’ CROSS-COUNTRY : Six Teams to Watch : Edison

Coach: Mike Munoz (second year).
1994: Finished fourth at Southern Section Division II-A finals, Sunset League champions.
Key returners: Dylan Glatt, Sr.; Ryan Haight, Sr.; Jeremy Milton, Sr.; Kent Roberts, Sr.; Nick Stier, Sr.
Key newcomers: Angelo Barriga, So.; Juan Diaz, Sr.; Ryan Gordon, So.; Andy Knutsen, Fr.; Hamesh Shahani, Sr.
Outlook: Many thought the Chargers would have given Mater Dei a run for the money at the Orange County Championships, but they skipped the meet last season. They’ll attend this year and will probably have a more realistic shot at the title. Roberts has been the team leader for three years and should set the tone again. Roberts finished behind Huntington Beach sophomore Tony Trueba as runner-up at last year’s Sunset League finals. Milton and Glatt finished seventh and ninth in the same race, helping the Chargers win the league title. Haight is Munoz’s choice for the early season fourth-man duties, while Stier and Diaz will battle with Gordon and Barriga for the final two positions.
