Countywide : WWII Veterans to Be Honored at OCC Event

U.S. veterans of World War II will be honored at a ceremony Saturday at LeBard Stadium on the Orange Coast College campus.

The 50th anniversary event, to begin at 4:30 p.m., will include music, a tribute to veterans by U.S. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Huntington Beach) and special recognition of Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Walter D. Ehlers of Buena Park.

The stadium, which was built on the site of a former U.S. Army base, is at 2701 Fairview Road in Costa Mesa.
