Ventura County software producers are climbing aboard the Windows 95 bandwagon.

At least two companies based in the county have announced that they will ship products compatible with the highly publicized Microsoft computer technology that began sales last week.

Franklin Telecom in Westlake Village is marketing software drivers designed to allow users of both Windows 95 and the earlier Windows system to access increasing amounts of data.

Franklin says its newly upgraded line can be used in desktop publishing, education, medical imaging, financial modeling, engineering and other fields.
