McGraw Falls to Third in Golf

Jeff McGraw of Fullerton shot a three-over-par 75 Thursday to finish third at the American Junior Golf Assn. Southwestern Junior Classic in Albuquerque, N.M.
McGraw, who shared the second-round lead with Russell Surber of Flintridge and Greg Pittenger of Coto de Caza, finished at three-over 219.
Scott Lander of Kingman, Ariz., who shot 69 for a 217 total, beat Surber on first hole of a playoff to win the title.
Jin Park of Fullerton and Pittenger tied for fifth at 222. Pittenger fell out of the lead with a final-round 78.

Craig Tefertiller, who coached volleyball at El Modena High from 1987-91, has been hired as the girls’ volleyball coach at El Dorado High, girls’ Athletic Director Sally Reclusado said.
