Holmes & Narver Inc: The Orange engineering and construction services company has been awarded an architectural and engineering services contract for a $6.5-million air traffic control tower and administration building at the Albany, N.Y., airport.
The company has designed 12 similar facilities since 1990, including the towers at Los Angeles International Airport and Chicago-O’Hare International Airport.
Separately, Holmes & Narver said it will head a joint venture that has won a five-year, $133-million contract to provide operating support services for various U.S. operations at Johnston Atoll.
The central Pacific atoll--a coral island that serves as base for the U.S. Army chemical weapons storage and demilitarization operation--is managed by the Defense Nuclear Agency.
The contract was awarded to Honolulu-based Kalama Services--a joint venture of Holmes & Narver, Burns & Row Services Corp and SERC Inc.--by the U.S. Navy and the Defense Nuclear Agency.
