Southeast : Sketch Out in Case of Abandoned Baby
- Share via
Sheriff’s investigators, still searching for the mother of a newborn baby boy abandoned in a Lakewood trash bin, now believe the mother may have given birth in a large blue sedan seen in the alley by witnesses.
Investigators have released a composite drawing of a man witnesses saw in the driver’s seat, arguing with two women in the rear seat. Witnesses also said they heard crying and muffled screams from the sedan, which had a tattered, black vinyl top.
The driver was described as a black man, 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10 inches tall, about 160 pounds, with several earrings in his left ear, a small scar under his eye and a pockmarked complexion.
The boy, wrapped in a plastic garbage bag, was discovered in a trash bin set in the alley behind the 20700 block of Seine Avenue on July 21. He is in foster care after spending two weeks receiving hospital treatment.
