ST. ANDREWS, Scotland — Tiger Woods, the U.S. amateur champion from Cypress, shot a 1-under-par 71 Saturday to make the cut at the British Open.
Woods’ two-round total was a 1-over-par 145, enabling him to make the cut by three strokes.
“I learn more about the course with every round I play,” Woods said. “Links golf is a different kind of golf, but it’s fun.”
Woods was paired today with Jim Gallagher Jr., his round starting at 2:30 a.m. PDT.
