Hess Investigation Continues

After five hours’ of hearings over the weekend, Hollywood Park stewards will resume their investigation of trainer Bob Hess Jr. on Friday afternoon.

Hess’ horse, Guide, tested positive for morphine after finishing third on May 6. “There should be a ruling before the end of the meet [a week from today],” steward Tom Ward said Sunday.

Hess has denied any wrongdoing.
