FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A Canadian Airlines jetliner with 95 people on board made an emergency landing shortly after takeoff Saturday, injuring three people, officials said.
The landing came after the pilot of the Boeing 737 radioed the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood airport tower that there was a fire-related problem on board, said airline spokeswoman Shannon Ohama.
The plane, Flight 295 from Ft. Lauderdale to Toronto, turned around and made an emergency landing. Three people suffered minor injuries during the evacuation.
