New Look for Hotel: The 350-room Buena Park Hotel is trying to keep a secret from its guests: a renovation.
The Crescent Avenue hotel is taking pains to avoid bothering guests as it works floor-by-floor installing a fire sprinkler system and adding new furnishings to guest rooms. So far, work on three of the eight floors has been completed in the $500,000 job.
“We have made every effort to insulate our guests from the project as the work moves forward,” said General Manager Javed Nawaz. Each floor is closed during renovation.
Work has been halted for summer, the busiest time of the year, and will resume in September.
Each guest room will have three fire sprinkler heads and new drapes, bedspreads and lampshades. The hotel’s restaurants were renovated last year.
