Bluegills Biting Hard at Two San Diego Lakes
A sure sign of summer?
The bluegills going on a rampage at San Diego’s San Vicente and Sutherland lakes.
Two of the best bluegill fisheries in the state, they showed why in the last week.
At San Vicente, 362 anglers accounted for 2,041 bluegills. At Sutherland, 337 fishermen landed 1,284.
Top anglers: James Beverly and Charles Gibbon of Glendale, who used red worms and teamed to load a stringer with 130 fish.
There is no bag limit on panfish.
