TBS Will Broadcast ‘Big Bag’: Children’s Television Workshop and Jim Henson Productions, the producers of “Sesame Street,” said their new weekly educational TV program for preschoolers will run on Ted Turner’s Cartoon Network. Thirteen 55-minute episodes of “Big Bag” will begin airing on weekends next May. Terms of the agreement between TBS and CTW were not disclosed. The program will run on the cable channel in a European-style format that restricts commercial messages to five minutes at the top of the hour. CTW and TBS executives say the show will teach toddlers how to solve problems and attempt to aid their social development. A Muppet character is being created for the show.
