Company Town : Joel Simon Named President of QDE

Joel Simon has been named president of Quincy Jones David Salzman Entertainment’s motion pictures division.
QDE, a joint venture with Time Warner Entertainment, is in TV production, publishing, interactive and station ownership.
Simon was with Todman-Simon Productions, which produced such films as “Married to the Mob” and “Hard to Kill.” At QDE, he will oversee a film slate that includes “Spy vs. Spy.”

* Susan L. Levin has been named vice president of publicity for Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Cos.
* Sony Pictures Entertainment has named Bruce Redditt senior vice president for corporate communications.
* Ronald Lightstone has been appointed chairman of Producers Entertainment Group.
* Robin Raskin has been named editor in chief of Family PC magazine.
* Sue D’Agostino has been appointed vice president of corporate communications for EMI Record Group North America.
* New Line Television has named Christopher Russo to the newly created post of senior vice president of marketing.
* Rich Fitzgerald was named executive vice president and general manager of Reprise Records.
* Jeff Gold has been named Warner Bros. Records executive vice president and general manager.
* MCA Home Video Inc. has promoted Harold Adkins to vice president and controller.
