Laer Pearce, Kia Motors Among P.R. Prizewinners

NEWPORT BEACH — Laer Pearce & Associates in Irvine won four first-place honors at the 1995 Protos awards, while Kia Motors of America in Irvine won top corporate honors with two first-place statues.
Following Pearce in awards for public relations agencies were Paine & Associates in Costa Mesa with four first-place statues, Nelson Communications in Irvine and Maples & Associates in Irvine with three each and Gladstone Public Relations in Irvine with two. In the professionals category, Odetics Inc. in Anaheim won two awards.
The competition, which honors local public relations agencies and professionals, was sponsored by the Orange County Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
