LAGUNA BEACH : Council to Consider General Plan Changes

The City Council’s regular order of business will be delayed one hour tonight so council members can meet in closed session at 6 p.m. to discuss employee benefits.
When the council reconvenes at 7 p.m. it will consider a revised safety element and a new landscape and scenic highways element for the city’s General Plan.
Public hearings on these two items have been ongoing for months.
The landscape and scenic highways element makes suggestions for landscaping in neighborhoods and along highways. The safety element covers items such as the city’s response to earthquakes, landslides and fires.
