Murder charges were filed Monday against two students accused in the beating and stomping death of a Narbonne High School classmate.
Rene Nieves and Christian Bremmer, both 18, were were among six students arrested in the killing Thursday of Shazeb Andleeb, 17.
Deputy Dist. Atty. William Smith said criminal charges are expected to be filed later this week against the four minors, whose names were withheld because of their ages.
Smith said the attack apparently stemmed from a dispute over a guest list Andleeb was preparing in class for a party he planned to throw for himself. One of the defendants, who belonged to a graffiti “tagging” crew, grabbed the list, wrote the crew’s name on it and Andleeb crossed it out.
Smith said the defendant and about six members of the tagging crew tracked down Andleeb a short time later and kicked and hit him. Andleeb died later of his injuries, police said.
