2 Named to Consumer Portfolio Services Board

* Thomas L. Chrystie and Robert A. Simms have been elected to the board of Consumer Portfolio Services Inc. in Irvine, increasing the number of directors to six. Chrystie is a private investor and a director of Titanium Industries, Eonyx Corp. and Wyoming Properties. He was formerly chief financial officer of Merrill Lynch & Co. Simms is chairman and chief executive of Simms Capital Management Inc.
* Curt Cornell has been appointed director, government division for Ingram Micro Inc., a Santa Ana wholesale distributor of microcomputer products. Cornell joined the company last year as senior manager, government division.
* William Gross has been appointed to the newly created position of retail production manager of Southland Financial Inc., a Fullerton mortgage banker. He will oversee the company’s 10 offices in California. Gross was previously division vice president of CTX Mortgage Co.
