The Doubletree Hotel in Ventura has been named the Golden Dolphin Employer of the Year by the Ventura Visitors & Convention Bureau.
The hotel was honored “for its success in educating front-line employees about their important role in greeting the visitor first-hand,” said Brian Brennan, chairman of the awards committee.
John Walters, the Doubletree’s general manager, received the award during the bureau’s annual tourism luncheon at the Holiday Inn in Ventura. The trophy is a rock formation with three dolphins on top.
