VAN NUYS : Man Gets Jail for Attack on Woman
- Share via
A 23-year-old Wilmington man was sentenced to 180 days in jail after pleading no contest to attacking a former girlfriend at her Van Nuys home, authorities said.
Jason Kane Green pleaded to one count of battery, and was also found in violation of probation from a 1992 drunk-driving case, Dep. City Atty. George Schell said.
Apparently angered because his three-year relationship with the 25-year-old woman had ended, Green went to her apartment in February, 1994, and attacked her when she returned home in a car, Schell said.
Witnesses said Green rushed up to the car, punched his former girlfriend in the face, choked her, then stabbed her in the left thigh with a small knife, Schell said.
