YORBA LINDA — A 69-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease who rode away from his home early Sunday on a 10-speed bicycle and did not return showed up safe Monday morning.
Jakob (Jake) Harle was last seen in the area of Fairmont and Yorba Linda boulevards, police said.
The missing man’s son, Irvine attorney Jakob S. Harle, said his father returned home about 6:30 a.m. Monday, to the relief of his worried family.
The elder Harle managed to flag a taxicab and showed the driver his license, his son said.
“We’re very relieved,” his son said. “He’s fine.”
Police said that the elder Harle frequently rides his bicycle around the neighborhood but had never disappeared before.
