Sunny Hills Begins Defense of Golf Title

The Sunny Hills golf team hopes to take the first step toward defending its Southern Section team golf title today as the high school postseason gets under way.
Sunny Hills, which was unbeaten in dual matches, is a free-lance team, so it will be playing in the Central Regional at Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning.
The top teams in Orange County leagues will play in the Southern Regional at noon at El Toro Marine Base.
Sea View League champion Santa Margarita, which is unbeaten in dual matches and shot 382 in a victory last Friday at El Toro, is among the favorites.
The top three finishers from each region advance to the Southern Section team championship May 15 at Sandpiper Golf Course in Goleta.
