LOS ALAMITOS : School Band, Orchestra Win Superior Ratings

The McAuliffe Middle School string orchestra and advanced band ensembles received “superior” ratings for their performances in the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Assn. Festival at Garden Grove High School.
The ratings were the highest possible in the recent event, which drew musical groups from schools across the state.
Jeff Sisil, conductor for both ensembles, said that the superior ratings acknowledge the strong musical techniques, high individual skills and excellent training of the students.
