Small-Business Awardees Honored: Local winners of small-business awards will be honored at a luncheon Friday at the Sheraton Grande Hotel by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Small Business Administration. The event is part of national Small Business Week. The 1995 winners from the SBA district covering Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties are Carl E. James and Alice J. Mangram, Cal-Tron Systems of Carson, small business persons of the year; Jennifer A. Waltzer, a Santa Monica certified public accountant, accountant advocate; Sandy Bourne, Pasadena Development Corp., financial services advocate; John Krikorian, Business Life magazine, media advocate; Joyce B. Tabak, Bank of America, minority advocate; John Heaton, Douglas Aircraft Co., veteran advocate; Barbara A. Frantz, an Encino attorney, women in business advocate, and Kevin P. Crampton, Bentley Manufacturing Co. in Paramount, young entrepreneur of the year.
