A longtime community activist plans to take issues important to local senior citizens to the 1995 White House Conference on Aging in Washington this week.

Lillian Mobley, executive director of the South-Central Multi-Purpose Senior Citizen Center, plans to raise issues such as the need for greater access to health care and transportation.

One of about 2,000 delegates from across the country, Mobley also plans to discuss the issue that elderly African Americans may be receiving inappropriate health care because they may exhibit different symptoms than whites with the same illnesses.
