A ‘Betrayed’ Feeling
We have never taken the time to write a letter to anyone about our opinion regarding a TV program. However, we found the conclusion of “Betrayed: The Story of Three Women†(March 19, ABC) so disturbing and infuriating that we could not contain ourselves.
We were under the impression that we were watching a movie with good dialogue that showed the devastation that an affair has on all parties concerned. Then the movie took a terrible turn for the worst, conveying to viewers that immoral and illegal behavior are “normal†and that society should lower its standards to accommodate liars, cheaters and adulterers.
What a terrible message to convey to America at a time when morals are at their lowest. How do we ever expect society to begin to live more responsibly?
