LANCASTER : Baby Girl Dies After Blanket Catches Fire

A 5-month-old baby died Friday morning in her Lancaster home after an electric blanket covering her began smoldering, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Janassia Nash was pronounced dead after paramedics were summoned to the 2200 block of Mulberry Avenue, by her father, said sheriff’s spokesman Gabe Ramirez.
