Fountain Valley 2, Huntington Beach 0--Lisa Layton had two hits for visiting Fountain Valley (7-7, 1-0). The Oilers are 6-6, 0-1.
In the Century League:
Canyon 7, Villa Park 4--Carly Ziemann had two hits and three runs batted in for host Canyon (7-6, 1-0).
Foothill 4, Orange 1--Marie Gieron (9-0) pitched a three-hitter, and Lauren Bauer and Jenny Beltran had two hits and an RBI for No. 1 Foothill (12-0, 1-0).
El Modena 2, Santa Ana Valley 1--Carrie Bates had two hits for El Modena (6-2, 1-0).
In the Empire League:
El Dorado 2, Cypress 1--Kelli Tom pitched a two-hitter and Breigh Decker singled in the winning run in the sixth inning to lead El Dorado (6-5, 1-0).
Loara 3, Century 0--Cara Painter’s two-hitter led host Loara (5-7, 1-0).
In the Freeway League:
Fullerton 11, Buena Park 1--Angie Fancuberta (8-6) pitched a three-hitter, struck out 11, had two doubles and three RBIs for visiting Fullerton (11-6, 1-0). Buena Park is 5-5-1, 0-1.
Sunny Hills 2, Troy 1 (9)--Jennifer Deane’s single scored Shannon Sportsman with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth for Sunny Hills (2-4, 1-1).
In the Orange League:
Western 4, Magnolia 0--Stacy Humphries (5-7) pitched her first no-hitter for Western (8-8, 1-0).
Savanna 4, Anaheim 0--Chrissy Konno and Jacque Gonzalez combined for a no-hitter and Cara Hatt had a two-run single for Savanna (9-3, 1-0).
In the Olympic League:
Calvary Chapel 3, Brethren Christian 1--Jenny Melone’s three-hitter paced Calvary Chapel (6-5, 1-0).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Hills 12, Aliso Niguel 0--Misty Thompson’s two home runs, three RBIs and three runs led Laguna Hills (9-4, 1-0).
University 4, Estancia 0--Jackie Shammas had two hits and scored twice for University (5-6, 1-0). Corby Bouchard pitched a two-hitter for the victory.
Costa Mesa 3, Laguna Beach 1--Jessica Roche struck out 10 for Costa Mesa (9-3, 1-0). Laguna Beach is 5-5-2, 0-1.
In the Sea View League:
Woodbridge 11, Santa Margarita 0 (5, mercy)--Christy Robitaille pitched her second no-hitter, and Nichole Thompson had three hits and three RBIs for seventh-ranked Woodbridge (10-5, 1-0).
Irvine 6, Newport Harbor 0--Amie Young pitched a one-hitter for Irvine (6-3, 1-0).
