Mustang Gets 11 Awards in Ventura Ad Club Contest
A Los Angeles County agency, Mustang Marketing & Advertising, won 11 awards in the 1994 competition sponsored by the Ventura County Ad Club.
Mustang, based in Agoura Hills, took five first-place “Addy†awards in the presentation last month at the Ventura Theatre in downtown Ventura.
The agency received top prizes in categories for logo design, radio commercials, print copy writing, announcements and self-promotion.
Mustang, founded in 1985, employs several former staff members of the Murphy Organization, which was Ventura County’s largest ad agency until it closed its doors last year.
A Ventura firm, Barbara Brown Marketing & Design, took four awards, including two for a catalogue and consumer magazine ad created for Jado Bathroom & Hardware Manufacturing Corp. of Camarillo.
Brown also shared honors with Mayerson Marketing & Public Relations for creating a change-of-address announcement about Mayerson’s new location in Westlake Village.
