California Amplifier to Work With Thai Sky Cable

California Amplifier Inc., a Camarillo producer of equipment used in wireless television broadcasting, has made a deal to provide a scrambling system for Thai Sky Cable TV Co. Ltd. in Bangkok, Thailand.
The $3.5-million order is for California Amplifier’s MultiCipher system, designed to prevent non-subscribers from receiving wireless cable broadcasts.
The project, scheduled for completion by next March, could lead to further orders as Thai Sky expands, according to Ira Coron, California Amplifier’s chairman and chief executive.”Thai Sky is a significant wireless cable operator with outstanding growth potential,” Coron said.
