Boy, 2, Dies in Garage Accident
SANTA ANA — A 2-year-old boy was killed Thursday evening while playing in an underground garage when a truck rolled backward, pinning the boy against a wall, police Sgt. Dick Faust said.
Antonio Lopez died at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, Faust said.
“People had been working on the front wheels of a full-sized pickup truck that was raised up on blocks,†he said. “For some reason, this truck fell off and went backwards and struck a smaller truck; that truck was pushed into the child, who was playing near a wall,†Faust said.
The accident occurred in the 1000 block of West Santa Ana Boulevard. It is under investigation.
