Storytelling by Grecian Urn
Not to overlook Classical Greece entirely, the Fullerton Museum Center presents a hands-on workshop for children called “It’s All Greek to Me†on Saturday. The workshop, which focuses on the narrative art techniques seen on the urns of that period, is one in a series of “Art Adventures in the Ancient World†for children 8 to 12. “We’ll look at the figures as they move around the vases and amphorae--the big, graceful urns--and see how we can depict that motion,†said coordinator Aimee Kraus. “Then we’ll draw our own narrative story.’ The Fullerton Museum Center presents “It’s All Greek to Me,†a workshop for children, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at the museum, 301 N. Pomona Ave., Fullerton. $5; members, $4. Does not include museum admission. (714) 738-6545.
