COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Cal Lutheran Women Still Unbeaten, 94-76

Kelli McCaskill collected 32 points and 16 rebounds for Cal Lutheran in a 94-76 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s basketball victory Friday night at Redlands.
McCaskill is averaging 24.0 points a game over the last seven games for Cal Lutheran (21-0, 9-0), which extended its winning streak to 23 games.
Shani Smyth added 19 points for the Regals. Leslie Ferguson had 24 points and 18 rebounds for Redlands (6-15, 1-7).
MEN’S BASKETBALL
The Master’s 99, Holy Names 57--James Mosley scored 29 points and Mike Penberthy added 21 as the Mustangs won their ninth in a row and their 15th in the last 16 games.
Master’s made 63.5% of its shots as Mosley sank 11 of 15 shots and Penberthy eight of 14.
Rogerio Soares added 15 points and Leo Gorauskas had 14.
BASEBALL
Cypress 7, Antelope Valley 4; Long Beach 5, Antelope Valley 5--Jeff Bowne had two hits, including a triple, and Will Wallace added two hits, including a solo home run for Antelope Valley (4-1-1) against Cypress at the Cypress tournament.
Eric Cole had two hits and slugged a three-run home run in an earlier game against Long Beach that ended in a tie when the game was called after nine innings due to a time limit.
Mission 4, Citrus 3--Anthony Martinez scored the winning run on a bases-loaded walk in the ninth inning of a nonconference game at Mission College.
John Romera, who replaced Tom Villanofa in the second inning, pitched 8 1/3 shutout innings for the Free Spirit (2-4). He struck out four and walked two.
Jeff Tolan pitched 6 1/3 innings for Citrus (3-2).
Point Loma Nazarene 3, The Masters 0--Dan Auchard pitched seven innings and struck out nine for Pt. Loma (3-0) in a nonconference game.
Master’s (2-1) loaded the bases with none out in the ninth only to see reliever Ruben Fontanes strike out the first two batters he faced before getting a fly ball to end the game.
SOFTBALL
Antelope Valley 2, Mt. San Antonio 0--Jody Snelling pitched a two-hit shutout, striking out three in the Marauders’ opener. Cindy Sims had three hits, including a double, for Antelope Valley.
