WASHINGTON — Eli Rosenbaum, a career federal attorney, was named director on Friday of the Justice Department’s section for hunting Nazi war criminals in this country.
A 39-year-old native of New York, Rosenbaum has been acting director of the Office of Special Investigations in the department’s criminal division since March, 1994.
He replaces Neal M. Sher, who left last March to become executive director of the American-Israel Political Affairs Committee.
