The Mental Health Department of the local AIDS Service Center began offering support group therapy sessions Wednesday for HIV-positive teen-agers and young adults.
The sessions are free and open to the public.
The group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the AIDS Service Center, 126 W. Del Mar Blvd.
“This support group will offer a safe place for individuals in their late teens and early 20s to explore HIV-related issues that are unique to their age group,” said Ian Stulberg, coordinator of the center’s Mental Health Department.
For more information about the group sessions and other services offered at the center, call (818) 796-5633.
